We know the feeling…
You feel like you are working all the dang time, but you’re still coming up short of your financial goals. You feel like you are charging your worth and don’t want to raise your prices out of fear of losing clients.
It’s a tough situation to be in for sure. But, the good news is that it CAN be fixed without (a) working more, and (b) raising your prices.
Here are the 4 things we suggest you do to relieve some stress and finally make those income goals you are shooting for…
1. It’s time to OUTSOURCE. We’re not just saying that because we’re outsourcing experts. We are saying it because when your business is starting to run YOU instead of the other way around, that’s a sure sign that it’s time to get some things off your plate.
Ultimately, you need more TIME. And let’s face it, unless some sort of science or act of nature occurs, I’m pretty sure we’re stuck with just those same 24-hours we have every single day.
So, start thinking of things that you can give up that maybe you don’t do well. You can hire help around the house, hire a VA, ask your husband to take on more responsibilities. And - more good news - you don’t have to make drastic changes. Start with something small. When I first hired Kelli as my VA, I started with just having her schedule my content for me. That’s it. But, it helped me out a TON. Start small.
2. Keep the main thing the main thing. As entrepreneurs, it’s easy to get entrepreneur ADD. We see someone doing something that looks awesome, and we immediately want to jump in and try the same thing. Or we have an idea and feel like we need to do it like RIGHT NOW.
Here’s the thing… you don’t have to do #allthethings. Keep it simple. What is the ONE THING that is going really well for you right now? What is the thing that is bringing in the most income for the least amount of time. Focus your time + energy on that ONE THING and get really, really good at it. Make it your MAIN THING. And then once you master that, then you can start thinking about ALL the other things you’re want to do.
3. Personal outreach. You’re looking for more clients but you don’t feel like they’re coming to you. Maybe you’re even getting a lot of engagement on your posts and lives but no one is taking the bait.
We are ALL about attraction marketing, but here’s kicker…
You are wasting TIME if you are waiting for people to come to YOU.
Yes, attraction marketing is all about getting people to know, like, and trust you so they eventually come to you. But, as a business owner, you have to start making personal connections with those people. Don’t be afraid to reach out to them and simple ask them if they’re interested in your products or services. Most of the time those people will be flattered you thought of them. (Well, unless you’re running a weight loss program, then you might want to really think about your wording.)
Here’s some simple advice that I recently heard from Ray Higdon…
Ask if they’re interested + give them an out.
Believe me, it’s TERRIFYING to start a sales conversation with someone. But, it can be as simple as, “I’ve noticed you liking + commenting on my posts. I’d love to share with you what I do if you’d be interested. If not, no big deal. I’d love to get to know you better!”
Don’t overthink it. You never know how a relationship might develop and where it can take you - and your business!
4. Consistency, consistency, consistency. Y’all, you cannot just show up one time and expect to get a million leads. It’s just not going to happen. #sorrynotsorry
The key to growing your business is showing up on social media CONSISTENTLY. Like every day. Not just sometimes. Not just when you feel like it. Every. Stinking. Day.
And don’t just post + run, or only post pictures about your product or service. You need to be adding value. What can you offer to the people you want to work with? Why would they want to work with you specifically? Connect with them. Teach them. Reply back to comments + messages. Be a human and remember that you’re interacting with humans as well.
